GAZPROM TRANSGAS SAINT-PETERSBURG ENTERPRISE: SCADA FOR VOLCHOVSKIY LINEAR PRODUCTION ADMINISTRATION

• 2 Control Rooms: SPURT (ATGS), based on HP 9000/RTAP (Hewlett-Packard) Integration with OASys CP (Valmet)
• Linear Part: 4 controlled stations with STN-3000 (ATGS),based on DPC 3330 (Bristol Babcock) and radio (Johnson)

Volchovskiy Local Production Administration (LPA) is operating “Gryazovets - Leningrad - 1,2” gas pipelines (length of linear part is 181 km), “Volchov - Petrozavodsk” branch gas pipeline, 14 Gas Distribution Stations (GDS) and two compressor stations (CS’s) (each station has two workshops). Distinctive feature of this LPA is the fact, that it provides gas supply of St-Petersburg and gas export to Finland. 

LPA operates different types of automatics systams, namely: “Magistral” SCADA System (Russia), “SuperFlow” gas measuring systems (Russia), “MSKU” workshop control systems (Russia). OASys Program complex (Valmet) is being implemented in Central Control Room (CCR) of “Lentransgas”. 
During project realization it is implemented “SPURT” Control Room executing data acquisition and commands issue for “Magistral”, “SuperFlow’s”, “MSKU4510” systems and data transfer to OASys. Simultaneously it is executed phased replacement of “Magistral” Controlled Stations by STN-3000 Controlled Stations, which are installing on linear part of pipeline and on Gas Distribution Stations. 

Project features: This system is “test bench” for perfection of the solutions for control system of “Yamal - Europe” gas pipeline. All main systems and information interfaces of “Yamal - Europe” gas pipeline are presented in Volchovskiy LPA project.
